It's...LU BUUUU!!!

KKSlider60 responds:

RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUN!!!

Very well done cover of a classic!
Love the riffs, and the solo turned out sweet. The drums seem to blend in better than on some of your earlier pieces

Always good to hear something new from you guys!

GraveDigger87 responds:

Thanks man! Yes i think the drums are getting better too; i think doing covers helps with the drum programming because you have the real drummer to compare to and you can be like, how is he getting that sound? I guess that would apply to all the instruments actually. Thanks for the review man!

Man I love this track - I've been listening to it quite a lot today.
The subtle synth/keys is a pretty nice touch, definitly adds some atmosphere. As always, some badass GraveDigger riffs and a pretty hypnotic composition. All the instruments sounds good, the bass seems a little low though, but it can be heard - it might also just be my headphones.

Mordamir sounds like a pretty badass person/place.

All my fives!

GraveDigger87 responds:

Thanks man! I was wondering if anyone would notice the keyboard if i didn't mention it in the commentary, so that's awesome.

I was thinking Mordamir is a wizard that has become trapped under his own spells and his reach is sort of his attempt to defeat/overcome himself and his own doings. But seen as how it's an instrumental song it's open to people seeing it however they want. Actually the name Mordamir comes from a video game called "The Immortal" (1991) in which he is trapped in a labyrinth and you have to rescue him. However i never really got to play the game because i can't get the controls working properly. So that has definitely had an influence on the title but i had the music all finished before i started thinking about the title, i just thought it suited the music. Haha, rant over.

Thanks for the review man!

The title somehow made me expect something like Morgan The Bard's "Stones"
But I was wrong. Though the tribal and adventuresque feeling is there :B

Great atmosphere!
The drums and bells luls one into a drowsy uncareful state, and then it bashes your skull in and feasts on your brains.
Heed the warning of the horns!

UnholySeer responds:

Thank you.

I'm feeling this!
As I'm kind of a sucker for anything folk or blackmetal this is pure candy, and it's a shame pieces such as these are as rare as they are, on Newgrounds. Reminds me a little of Sancta Poenas around little over a one minute in - propably just the swedish words making me think that.

The melodies and atmosphere especially are great!

No matter how hard I try, I can't do any decent blackmetal, so it's good to hear some others around here doing one hell of a good job at that.

I'll be giving your other uploads a listen too.

Shmokko responds:

It's good to hear that you liked it. I did not really put too much time into this song though. I will probably make more songs like these in the future.

Awesome!
Sounds a bit plastic though, but it's badass nonetheless - I did a half-assed cover of it myself not long ago, heh.

Nice vocals too, they really resemble Burzums' shreiks

PENTAhazardous responds:

Thanks a lot dude for your time. Your words are greatly appreciated . It is kinda "plastic" for there are no real instruments. But, imo, sounds better than with Guitar Rig (kinda shreds my ears off with that one). Anyway, there still is a bit of a problem with the bass guitar which should be a bit more present in the slidings part. I'll pass by to see what you did to this song.

Pretty nice!
I like the variation and you've got some cool riffs, though at around 2:44 it clips, I don't know if that's intentional or not, but it felt disturbing and bad.
Towards the end you have a really badass solo and some cool riffs going on.
It wouldn't hurt to put the drums a little higher in the mix, and maybe tweak their velocity to give it a less machine-like sound.

Metallica1136 responds:

Wow a review already! Thanks man, I have some songs that are real old that still have yet to be reviwed

That skipping at 2:44 is actually intentional, I chopped it up to make it sound like the cord was being broken lol. Thanks man, I love the solo too, this is one of my favorite solos that i did myself.

Yeah, drums need to be edited. Louder, and more velocity variation

Thanks for your review though, i apprecaite when people leave their thoughts!

Your mind seems dark these days, my friend.
These melancholic waves of long forgotten stars that created us, rends and tears at the flesh, aging you. What are you yearning for my, Son?

This piece is hauntingly good.

Insanctuary responds:

One of my potent experiments.

"Blipity blopti, blipity blopi, blip, blop, blob, bom"
If your armpits smells just half as good as this sound, well, then I might just take it for a sniff.

Too short dang it!

Insanctuary responds:

Yea.. I was uploading alot of garbage and a few potential-wise experiments, for a very good reason.

That was actually a pretty darn enjoyable nocturne :)

Really nice and relaxing piece for that sweet cup of midnight tea.

BlazingDragon responds:

Thanks Halindir! :D

I really like the new classical piece you uploaded (Elenwe). If I remember, I'll drop a review when I have more time. Nice work, though!

I dabble
